Bordeaux Facility
Engineering, Machining, and Medium-Scale Production

The Bordeaux site is a center of high-precision engineering and mechanical production, historically focused on Defense and now extended to the Nuclear and Experimental Civil industries.

Key Capabilities:

  • Mechanical design office:
    More than 50 engineers design equipment intended for harsh and highly regulated environments. Their work covers conceptual and detailed design, 3D modeling, requirement justification, deployment of dedicated calculation tools, and the definition and supervision of complete test programs.

  • 3,500 m² workshop:
    Dedicated to machining, inspection, and assembly of complex subassemblies (up to 3 meters).
    It includes several 5-axis DMG machining centers, an OKUMA turning/milling center, two EDM machines, and a ZEISS coordinate measuring machine (CMM) in a temperature-controlled environment.

  • Clean areas:
    300 m² of clean zones compliant with RCC-M Level 2 cleanliness requirements for sensitive operations.

  • 6,000 m² boiler making workshop:
    Specializing in forming, welding (TIG, MIG, MAG), non-destructive testing (NDT), and dimensional inspection of large assemblies (up to 6 m and 20 tons).
    The site employs five qualified welding engineers and technologists (IWE/IWT) and includes a 6-axis TIG welding robot used for fusion energy applications.

  • ALYNOX product line:
    A historic production line manufacturing seamless fittings up to 200 mm, meeting the most stringent RCC-M standards.

By combining design engineering, metallurgical expertise, and advanced machining capabilities, the Bordeaux site ensures high responsiveness and top-tier quality for demanding industrial sectors.

Bourg-en-Bresse Facility
Integrated Mechanical and Electromechanical Systems

The Bourg-en-Bresse site brings together all the expertise required for the design, manufacturing, assembly, and qualification of complete mechanical and electromechanical systems.

Core Expertise:

  • Integrated design:
    The mechanical and electrical design offices use advanced CAD and simulation tools to develop complex machines and systems, fully integrating mechanical and electrical aspects within a unified process.

  • Methods and machining simulation:
    The methods team handles process development and digital simulation of machining operations, ensuring precision, reliability, and optimized performance.

  • High-precision machining workshop:
    Equipped with state-of-the-art multi-axis machines and integrated metrology, guaranteeing geometric conformity and process repeatability for high-accuracy parts.

  • Mechanical and electrical integration workshops:
    Dedicated to the assembly, wiring, and testing of complete systems, including ATEX environments.
    The site is certified for the design and assembly of control cabinets and enclosures compliant with safety standards for explosive atmospheres.

  • On-site commissioning capabilities:
    ALSYMEX teams can perform assembly, testing, and commissioning directly at client facilities, including nuclear installations (INB).

Paris Facility
Micro-Machining, Special Processes, and Advanced Metallurgy

Located in Villejuif for over 50 years, this 5,000 m² site is dedicated to high-precision mechanical manufacturing for small-sized equipment (from a few millimeters to 0.5 meters), primarily serving the Defense sector.

Technical Expertise:

  • Industrialization and methods office:
    Designs manufacturing routes and special processes tailored to the most demanding customer requirements.

  • Production workshops:
    Equipped with advanced technologies, including three laser welding machines, an electron beam welding (EBM) system, X-ray tomography for weld inspection, a vacuum heat treatment chamber, and a chemistry laboratory for process analysis.

  • HIP (Hot Isostatic Pressing) expertise:
    The site manages the entire HIP process — from component design based on the customer’s 3D model to the production of qualified prototypes — including parameter optimization, tooling design, and prototype validation.

  • Beryllium workshop:
    Dedicated to the machining and inspection of beryllium parts in full compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.

Tarbes Facility
Major Industrial Center and Technical Hub

The Tarbes facility is an essential component of ALSYMEX’s industrial network.
A true technological hub, it brings together on a single site the design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing of large-scale, high-precision mechanical and optomechanical systems.
Industrial infrastructures and engineering resources are fully integrated to ensure complete process control.

Main Capabilities:

  • Large-scale and high-precision machining:
    The site features a machining workshop equipped with large-capacity machines, such as the SORALUCE for large-structure processing and the AREA M & AREA T centers for the machining of oversized components.

  • Integrated dimensional control:
    A dedicated metrology department oversees dimensional and geometrical inspections at every stage, ensuring full compliance and reliability of the parts produced.

  • Controlled environments:
    The site includes ISO 5 and ISO 8 clean rooms dedicated to the assembly, alignment, and testing of complex optomechanical assemblies.

  • Special processes:
    A dedicated area is equipped for robotic laser welding, ensuring clean and precisely controlled operations.

  • Integration and testing:
    Mechanical and electrical integration areas allow for the assembly, wiring, and qualification of complete systems prior to shipment or on-site installation.
